People Partner

Job description

Why, How, What?

Bricklane harnesses technology to unlock investment in residential property at scale using a revolutionary data-driven approach.

We believe it’s time the housing market was brought into the 21st century, to benefit tenants and investors alike.

Backed by the likes of Zoopla and LocalGlobe, we’ve assembled a smart, highly collaborative team from the worlds of tech, property and finance. By raising the bar in property investment, we are committed to fixing issues in the rental market by providing high quality homes in which people aspire to live.

We’re looking for a People Partner to join our team, helping to drive our growth by creating the best possible employee experience and organisational platform from which we scale.

What you will be working on

Our people are key to the success of our business and are at the heart of our culture. As we enter the next phase of our growth, the challenges to grow, retain and reward our talent, and ultimately to make Bricklane the best place to work, become ever more important.

We are looking for an experienced People Partner to help build, develop and nurture our teams, taking full ownership of the employee experience.

You’ll be responsible for:

  • The on-going development of a people-focussed culture, working with the senior management team to roll out exciting new initiatives, designing and implementing processes including performance development, recognition and reward strategies and employee benefits.

  • Acting as an employee champion to promote learning, development and wellbeing at work.

  • Becoming a cultural leader in employee communications and ensuring company policies are values-driven and fit for purpose.

  • Working in partnership with the internal Talent function and hiring managers to ensure a seamless and effective on-boarding process.

  • Working with senior management to develop ways of maintaining great engagement.

  • Promoting and ensuring implementation of diversity and inclusion metrics across all business processes.

  • Acting as a primary point of contact for the team whenever HR or welfare support is needed.

Benefits of working with us

  • Flexibility: current Covid-19 circumstances aside, we love working from our brand new office in Old Street. That said, we support partial remote working, if that's best for you.

  • Personal development: we support you with training opportunities to help you grow.

  • Holiday: 25 days annual leave + 1 extra day around Christmas (our present to you).

  • Health: we offer Vitality healthcare to support your health and wellbeing, with discounts for gym membership, activewear, sports equipment, and cinema tickets.

  • Pension: you’ll be covered for later life with our pension plan.

Our hiring process

  • You apply for the role, completing a form so we can find out more about you.

  • For applications that progress, we arrange a follow up 20 minute call to discuss the role and your experience further.

  • You’ll meet our Director of Operations followed by our management team who will explore how you approach putting in place great foundations for a scaling business with its team as its core priority.

  • You’ll value the importance of employee engagement and continuous improvement incorporated into everyday business.
